MY STORY
Hello my name is Melissa surroca and I have been a professional hair and make up artist for over 14 years. One of my favorite Warhol quotes is "if everyone isn't beautiful, then no one is" and I truly believe that.
I grew up in the Midwest, and I always knew I wanted
to be a hair and make up artist. After completing cosmetology school (and passing state boards with flying colors), I relocated to Orlando to attend the makeup school Joe Blasco, which is where I gained the knowledge to do special-effects and production make up.
Over my years in Florida I have had the pleasure of not only working in the best salons, but also fulfilling my production dreams of providing hair and make up for commercials and working in film at NBC.
after starting a family, I made the decision to go back "behind the chair" full-time and sharing my knowledge and expertise with the people I love working with the most, my clients!
I have formal training in top hair lines such as Wella, redken, goldwell, bumble and bumble and keratin complex. (Just to name a few) but as a master stylist,
I will never stop learning from others and keeping up with current trends.
